Ok in Lord of the Rings, Arwen’s father doesn’t want her to marry Aragorn because she’ll lose her immortality. But then there’s scenes of her watching him die and then she gets to watch her son grow up etc and she was so sad that Aragorn was gonna die etc. But.. if she was going to give her immortality with him wouldn’t she die too? I’ve always been so confused about this?

I don’t think she gives up her immortality, she just gives up her immortal life with her people and is stuck in a mortal world.

elves even once they’ve given up their immortality still have long lives, Aragorn dying would have trigered her ‘fading’ and then dying
